It’s amazing to look back at how quickly God’s vision for Hope From Above Ministries came together, from runway to hangar, to life-saving flights. See what Hope From Above Ministries does in Haiti every day.
Delivering a baby in the remote mountains of Haiti can be dangerous. Very little prenatal care is available. And if there are complications, the appropriate care may be many hours away over extremely bumpy and rutted roadways. Sadly, some women resort to being strapped to a motorcycle driver to make the trip. This is where HFAM medi-vacs are critical
Part of HFAM’s mission is to provide safe, secure transportation to fellow missionaries doing God’s work. Meet Caitlin & Steph, whose mission trip required them to travel far into the mountains of Haiti’s northwest.
It was nothing short of a miracle! We’ll let the pictures tell the whole incredible story.
HFAM partner, Agape Flights, lands at HFAM’s base in Bombardopolis for the very first time. Agape is a lifeline for missionaries across Haiti, making deliveries of mail & essential cargo from the U.S., to those serving here.
Sometimes HFAM’s humanitarian cargo holds take us outside of Haiti. In the autumn of 2024, Hurricane Helene took 108 lives and became the fifth-costliest tropical cyclone on record. The storm affected Georgia, the Carolinas, Tennessee, Kentucky and Virginia. Hope From Above Ministries was privileged to spend several days making deliveries of essentials to victims left homeless in North Carolina.
Port de Paix is a vital hub in the northwest of Haiti, because for people in the region it’s the location of the closest fully functioning private surgical hospital. For a time, the runway serving the city was closed. But HFAM and partners helped to get their neglected but essential runway restored and ready to resume life-saving medi-vacs.
Brant Aero in Brantford, Ontario has been a huge supporter of Hope From Above Ministries, opening their hangar doors wide for maintenance. Sometimes our pilots get involved too. Meet some of the people who volunteer with HFAM.
